Metal Gear has grown so long in the tooth. Splinter Cell is the new game to beat when it comes to stealth. Metal Gear is clunky, cumbersome and dull.
This game better be something special and not try to be another cash-in like the lame Ac!d games. Somehow, I don't have a whole lot of faith in it. I'm sure they'll try and sell it with more cheap sex, like Ac!d 2. :P

What a load of rubbish.
Besides, Metal Gear Acid had nothing to do with stealth. At least give credit to Konami for attempting to take the series in a new direction.

B.D stands for 'Bande Dessine' which is French for comic book. This is old news which has been on the net for a month and a half now. Gameplay will be something to do with the player manipulating comic book boxes to cause different gameplay events. Sorta like Jump Superstars bottom screen on DS i guess.

Spliter Cell the new game to beat? rrrrrright...
I prefer the more extreme twisted characters and plots in the MGS series. I'd play as Snake over Sam Fisher anyday.
Of course it's always a personal preference.

'Besides, Metal Gear Acid had nothing to do with stealth. At least give credit to Konami for attempting to take the series in a new direction.'
Woah. Just like Mario Party has nothing to do with jumping on turtles and neither does Mario Kart! Lets give Nintendo credit for taking their characters and putting them in different types of games too!
I can see the discussion at Konami now, "Lets take our serious character and put him in a CARD game, so he can stand around being shot in the face while the player waits for a turn."
Brilliant!
And recklessgemini, I'm not arguing the coolness of the character, I'm arguing about the gameplay. Metal Gear is clunky, cumbersome and dull.
Don't even get me started on multiplayer, or lack thereof.
